Hi! I am Ken Mettler. I was born and raised in Bakersfield, CA. I am a Oil, Gas, and Mineral Landman; a Home Builder; and a construction and real estate litigation consultant. My wife Barbara and I are parents of two active sons. Robert and Michael.

My past experience includes the following:

• student worker for the Los Angeles Police Department
• During college years I organized a Big Brother program and the College Republicans.
• I earned a Master of Public Administration degree from the University of California in 1975.
• Peace Corps as an Urban Project Evaluator
• Assigned to a U.N. group conducting a survey of earthquake damaged buildings in Managua, Nicaragua
• Worked for an oil company as an analyst
• Real estate
• Served as the president of land development and home building companies since 1978
• Started my own land development and home building company
• Construction and real estate litigation consultant and expert witness
• Community activity
